  • Simple Fried Rice

    Ingredients

    • 2 cups rice
    • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
    • 3 more tablespoons of soy sauce
    • 2 teaspoons salt
    • 2 large eggs
    • 1/4 cup olive oil
    • 1/2 of an onion
    • Green Onions
    • 2 carrots
    • 1 cup of peas

    Steps

    1. Put 4 cups of water into a pot.
    2. Add 3 tablespoons of soy sauce into the water.
    3. Heat the water until it is boiling.
    4. Put the rice in and let cook for 15 minutes.
    5. Drain the water completely then set rice aside.
    6. Cut green onion into small pieces
    7. Dice the onion
    8. Cut the carrots
    9. Put olive oil into a separate pan and heat it up.
    10. Saute the green onion, onion, carrots, and peas in the pan
    11. Wait for the onions to become soft
    12. Scramble the eggs in a separate bowl then add it slowly into the pan while constantly stirring.
    13. Add the rice and the other three tablespoons of soy sauce.
    14. Mix until combined and serve.
  • Vanilla Pancakes

    Ingredients

    • 2 cups all purpose flour
    • 2 teaspoons baking powder
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
    • 2 large eggs
    • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
    • 3 teaspoons vanilla extract
    • 1 cup milk
    • 2/4 cup carbonated water (if you don’t have this then use 1 and 1/2 cup milk instead)

    Steps

    1. Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl.
    2. Melt the butter and mix in the sugar into the butter.
    3. Add vanilla extract, milk, carbonated water, and eggs into the butter and sugar then stir.
    4. Slowly combine the flour mixture into the milk mixture.
    5. Mix until combined
    6. Heat up a pan, add butter into the pan, and put some of the pancake batter onto it.
    7. Let cook for 2 minutes then flip
    8. Wait 2 more minutes, then remove from heat.
    9. Repeat steps 6 – 8 until there is no more batter then serve.
  • Garlic Bread

    Ingredients:

    • 4 cloves of garlic
    • 4 tablespoons / quarter cup oil (olive oil works best)
    • 2 scallions / green onion
    • 3 slices of bread
    • Salt and Pepper

    Steps:

    1. Remove the skin of the garlic and mince it.
    2. Add the olive oil, butter, salt and pepper to a pot and cook on medium heat until it starts smoking, while it’s heating, continue to the next step.
    3. Cut up the scallions or green onion very small.
    4. After step 2 is done, add the cut up scallions or green onion and the cut up garlic to the pot.
    5. Cook for 1 minute and transfer to a heat safe bowl. 
    6. Let the spread cool for 3 minutes and drizzle on top of the bread
